Beliefs and Mission Statement

Bluff Park Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Alabama Baptist Convention. We hold to the denominational statement of faith as found in the 1963 Baptist Faith and Message. We believe that Jesus Christ is "the way, the truth, and the life", no man anywhere will see God without first knowing and experiencing Christ. We believe that the Bible is God's Holy Word. God has always been and always will be. He is an Eternal Being, not a created one, who created all things.
Jesus is the Son of God, and God in the flesh. He is fully God and fully man, the second of the three parts of the Trinity, yet co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father and God the Spirit.
Jesus is the one way to heaven. No man will enter heaven apart from Christ.
The Holy Spirit, as the third member of the Trinity, proceeds from the Father and Son to us. He makes His dwelling in lives whenever people express their willingness to receive God's free gift of salvation by grace.
The Bible is God's inspired Holy Word, without error.
